Cheap Vegetarian Food @ Holland Drive Food Centre

Finally, I manage to pull myself & walk to Holland Drive Food Centre for lunch today. I don't really like to go there because of the hot weather & the distance.It's about 10mins walk from Buona Vista MRT station.

Due to today is 初一, I decided to have vegetarian food. Surprisingly, I still can find $2 food! The portion is pretty big & taste good. It was indeed filling.

This food centre has a wide variety of food. I will definitely come back again! ^^

Sweetcorn Korean Pancake Recipe

Yesterday...I suddenly feel like making some snacks for tea break so I decided to make Sweetcorn Korean Pancake. 

Whenever I feel like making Korean dishes, I will go to Maangchi's blog to view her recipes.
So far, I have not tried to make any Korean dish yet due to laziness. :P

Sweetcorn Korean Pancake

Actually, I was very surprised that it was so easy to make! Below is the recipe.
Enjoy! ^^

Ingredients
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 cup water
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp corn kernels

Method
1) Mix all the ingredients together & stir till no lumps.
2) Heat up a non-stick pan and add some vegetable oil.
3) Add the mixture to the heated pan and spread it thinly.
4) Cook for a few minutes until the bottom of the pancake turns golden brown and crispy.
5)  Flip it. A few minutes later, when the bottom of the pancake is crispy and golden brown, flip or turn it over again. Transfer it to a cutting board and cool it down.
6)  Cut into bite size pieces and put it on a plate.

Roasted Pork with Kai Lan for Lunch

It's a rainy day today and the only sheltered place where I can get out of my workplace is One-North foodcourt.

I feel like drinking soup but also feel like having something spicy too so as to keep myself warm. Hence, in the end, I decided to have Thai cuisine.

I saw this simple but yet special dish on the menu and decided to give it a try. It's called Roasted Pork with Kai Lan. As this stall normally has long queue & the food they serve, is usually quite nice, I don't doubt the taste of this dish at all.

When I received the dish, I was abit disappointed by the portion of the roasted pork. Only 3 pieces. :(
But the overall taste with the spiciness, was really thumbs up!

Received Nougats from Australia!

So happy to see these nougats on my desk this morning when I reached office!

They were from my colleague who went to Australia recently.

I think I am an easily contented person with food & sweet gifts :P
Price doesn't matter at all. It's the efforts put in by the giving party!

Yummy BBQ Spicy Chicken for Today's Lunch

It's been a long time I have yet eaten the BBQ spicy chicken from One North foodcourt's Korean stall!

I still feel that this stall serves the best Korean food among the ones that I have been to :)

I love their kimchi noodles & bbq spicy chicken. They have a wide variety of choices like toufu soup, kimchi soup, bibimbap, ramen with either chicken/pork/beef, BBQ chicken/beef/Saba fish etc.

Do drop by & give it a try one day! ^^

Hair Products to Pamper My Long Hair

Sorry peeps...I did not blog recently coz I was super busy with my baby & haven't got time to eat good food...

Just want to share some hair products that I have bought on last Sun from my hairstylist.

Ever since I have given birth, my hair is getting more fine & easily broken. Also, I always have a hard time combing my long hair due to it's too dry as I used to use the hair iron daily.

Hence, I decided to rebond my hair! I have bought hair mask, a hair product to make my hair grows thicker & collagen!

Hope my hair will become smooth & silky! ^^

Beer Market

Finally, I had a chance to go to Beer Market!

It's actually quite a normal-sized pub and they have live band.

I was quite sad that they don't sell Blanc 1664, the fruity white beer. :( 

So I ordered Erdinger instead. 

They also have a promotion during the happy hour for the snacks too. 

It's 3 choices for $10 & 1 choice for $4. It's pretty reasonable to me! So how can I miss it?!

*Choices include wings (spicy/baked honey glazed bbq/crispy), luncheon fries, spring rolls, prawns twisters and mini sausages

Tuesday to Thursday from 6pm – 8pm and whole of Sunday

Most customers were angmohs. It's abit hard to squeeze through them when I need to go to the ladies because they were very tall! :(
